This set of six colourful stamps with original artwork from Peel artist Nicola Dixon celebrates the Island’s landscape, horticultural, farming and fishing heritage with emphasis on food producers on the Isle of Man.

Each stamp has a quirky title representing the subject matter...

• 1st – Farm to Yarn • 1st – Fish to Dish • EU – Welly to Belly

• 98p – Cow to Cup • RoW – Tree to Table • £2.52 – Field to Fork

Welly to Belly was the name given to our stamp and is based on the view from our plots. The name is borrowed from

the title of Andi Cleverly's excellent Allotment Handbook. Nicola managed to include the headland cottages, Manx

Radio and all the neighbourhood buildings in addition to some very impressive vegetables all to be harvested at the same time (don't write in)! A productive year and the centenary of the founding of the Douglas Allotment Association.

Happy people pictured below at the Green Mann stamps launch at the Bath & Bottle in Douglas are TV Gardener and stamp issue text writer Chris Collins and artist Nicola Dixon (second and third left) along with members of the DAA;

Paul, Brenda, Debbie and Annette.

NIcola produces attractive prints of the images which are available, along with the stamps, from the IOM Stamps & Coins website.
